This brochure combines the trash tag, used to attach containers that have been placed outside before the required time, and door hooks, which warn residents that a bear has been seen in the neighborhood. The presence of the ‘test’ on the card is particularly significant because it actively involves the reader who, through an action – compiling the test – can actively reflect on their behaviour and at the same time learn the correct actions to mitigate the damage caused by the presence of bears in the urban environment. Combining an action with an information helps to promote memorization, learning and change of behaviour.
The mission of Northern Bear Society is to reduce conflict in neighborhoods between people and bears through education, innovation and cooperation.
